چکیده

Abstract Thermoelectric generators (TEGs) produce electric power from environmental heat energy and are expected to play a key role in powering the Internet of things. However, they require source create stable irreversible temperature gradient. Overcoming these restrictions will allow use TEGs proliferate. Therefore, we propose source-free water-floating carbon nanotube (CNT) TEGs. Output voltage generated by gradient CNT films which water pumping via capillary action leads evaporation-induced cooling selected areas. Furthermore, output increase when exposed sunlight wind flow. These demonstrate pathway for developing wireless monitoring systems environments.

Heat Management in Thermoelectric Power Generators

Thermoelectric power generators are used to convert heat into electricity. Like any other heat engine, the performance of a thermoelectric generator increases as the temperature difference on the sides increases. It is generally assumed that as more heat is forced through the thermoelectric legs, their performance increases. Therefore, insulations are typically used to minimize the heat losses ...

Thermal performance of two heat exchangers for thermoelectric generators

The thermal performance of a heat exchanger is important for the potential application in an integrated solar cell/module and thermoelectric generator (TEG) system. Usually, the thermal performance of a heat exchanger for TEGs is analysed by using 1D heat conduction theory which ignores the detailed phenomena associated with thermo-hydraulics. In this paper, thermal and momentum transports in t...

Constant heat characterisation and geometrical optimisation of thermoelectric generators

It is well known that for a thermoelectric generator (TEG) in thermal steady-state with constant temperature difference across it the maximum power point is found at half of the open-circuit voltage (or half of the short-circuit current). However, the effective thermal resistance of the TEG changes depending on the current drawn by the load in accordance with the parasitic Peltier effect. This ...

Co-optimized design of microchannel heat exchangers and thermoelectric generators

Designs of heat exchangers have mostly been disconnected to the performance of thermoelectric generator (TEG) systems. The development work, mostly focused on thermoelectric materials, required a significant amount of engineering parametric analysis. In this work, a micro plate-fin heat exchanger applied to a TEG is investigated and optimized to maximize the output power and the cost performanc...
